We value

Credibility     |     Connection     |     Community

Our mental health and career are interrelated.
We are here to support you with both.

Our careers are a large part of our lives, yet mental health supports rarely address the overlap of our career with our overall mental health and well-being. As a mental health-based practice, Aala Ridha Psychotherapy supports individuals, organizations, and teams from various disciplines and backgrounds to bridge the gap between mental health and career development. We believe in the inner-strength of every individual, and the incredible power that can emerge amongst teams when we are all given the opportunity to identify, learn about, and use those strengths.

Aala Ridha Psychotherapy is committed to providing our clients with a safe space of compassion, empathy, and growth. We look forward to working with you!

Meet Aala

I'm so grateful you're here! I know it can take a lot of courage to seek support, and it's absolutely a privilege to support you with any career and/or mental health needs you may have. As a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), I support youth, adults and professionals in navigating various wellness challenges through individual support and team workshops.

With a long passion for teaching that traces back to my five-year-old self, I knew from a young age that I needed to pursue a career that would enable me to help, teach, and support others. Within my over 15 years of experience, I have worked with people of diverse backgrounds from children to retirees in various academic, research, and corporate capacities. I hold a Master of Education in Educational Counselling and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. As part of my qualifications, I am also B-level certified to purchase, administer and interpret psychological assessments including the MBTI, NEO-PI-3 and the Strong Interest Inventory. I greatly value ongoing learning and continuously pursue professional development opportunities and trainings.

My psychotherapy experience has predominately involved working with youth, post-secondary students, and professionals within academic, career and mental health capacities, both one-on-one and in group settings. As a teacher at heart, all of my experiences have afforded me the opportunity to establish expertise in program design and workshop facilitation. I'm fully bilingual in English and Arabic, and I'd truly be honoured to work with you or your team!

In addition to being a therapist, I am also a mother, and a wife. As a true introvert, when I'm not facilitating a workshop or seeing a client, you can be sure to find me hiking, drawing, or reading. That is, of course, if my little one allows me to!
